Controls

  • Space bar to restart Simulation
  • Tab to toggle Control Panel(GUI)

Spawning new items

  • Hold Shift + Alpha1  to spawn a   SPAWN_AREA    at your mouse position
  • Hold Shift + Alpha2  to spawn a   PLAYER   at your mouse position
  • Hold Shift + Alpha3  to spawn a   OBSTACLE   at your mouse position
  • Hold Shift + Alpha4  to spawn a  CLIMBABLE OBSTACLE   at your mouse position

Object Manipulation

  •  Scaling: Hold S and press LMB(increasing scale) or RMB(decreasing scale) while dragging the object lengthwise or breadth wise to increase/decrease its size in that dimension.
  • Rotation: Hold R and press LMB(anticlockwise) or RMB(clockwise) rotation.
  • Translation: Hold G while hovering over the object and move mouse to move its position
  • Deletion: Press D while hovering over the object to duplicate it.
  • Duplication: Press Shift + D while hovering over object to delete.

Terms

  • Percentage of smart boids:- controls the percentage of population that will be smart and avoid all sorts of obstacles, the rest will be dumb
  • Min Kill Time and Max Kill Time :- Specifes the range of time limit of killing a boid
  • Target Follow Speed:- Specifies how sharply the boid follows its assigned target, be it the player or the mouseposition.
  • Obstacle avoidance radius:- The max distance at which the boid can sense the obstacles
  • Obstacle avoidance force:- The force with which the boid will try to steer away from an obstacle
  • Climbable Slowdown Factor:- Factor by which the boid will slow down when it tries to pass through a climbable object(Cyan Color).
  • supportsComputeShaders:- Specifies whether the current platform supports compute shaders.
